LEAP: Learning, Empowerment, Accessibility, and Progress in...
Wednesday July 30, 2025 10:15am - 11:45am MDT
Social stories are a tool used to help children with autism and other developmental disabilities understand and cope with social situations. They are written from the child's perspective, using simple language and visuals to explain social expectations, rules, and routines.  In this session, we will explore the use of social stories in the context of behavior and classroom management, and participants will learn how to create and implement effective social stories that promote social understanding, emotional regulation, and behavioral skills.
